The Fiscal Size-up reports on the budget and other fiscal actions of the Legislature. It provides contextual information about the structure, operation, and fiscal condition of Texas state government. The first three chapters summarize the overall fiscal condition of the state during the 88th legislative deliberations which includes descriptions of major revenue sources and funds. Also highlighted is legislation passed during the 88th that may have a significant fiscal impact.
The subsequent chapters of the Fiscal Size-up focus on each function of state government, including descriptions of programs and services.
