The statewide constitutional amendment election is Tuesday, November 3, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Almost 6 percent of registered voters in the state’s 15 most populous counties had voted (in person and by mail) for the general election during the early voting period which ended October 30. Harris County (9.4%) had the highest turnout among the 15 counties. Nueces County (2.2%) had the lowest. Across the 15 counties, early voter turnout was 1.8% higher than in 2013.
Filing for the March primaries begins November 14.
