In the December 4, 2009, issue of the Texas Register (34 TexReg 8644), the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) published proposed new sections in 30 TAC Chapter 101, General Air Quality Rules. The preamble to the proposal stated that the commission must receive all written comments by January 11, 2010. The commission has extended the deadline for receipt of written comments to January 25, 2010.
On January 5, 2010, the United States Environmental Agency issued guidance on the Federal Clean Air Act, Section 185 fee rule in “Submittal of Section 185 Fee State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision or An Alternative Equivalent Program for the 1-hour Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard”.
